Hi, I'm a new user, really impressed with this tiny SW.
I'm not sure if it's a ug but I have found something I think it's strange and I'd like to report it.

If I try to changing page (while fulscreen) with the mouse wheel (instead of using the righ arrov button on the keybord) I have to "rotate it" a lot of times, which is unpratical.
Usually image viewers allow for 1 wheel "scroll" = 1 page forwards.
Right now using arrowas keys is perfect, but the mouse wheel is really slow.

I didn't find anything in the config options.
Is this fixable in any way? Happens both with HW accel enabled or disable.

Hi,

we're going to need some more information from you.

1) OS (Win, Mac, Linux?)
2) does this only happen in fullscreen mode? (i.e after pressing "F")
3) what's the behaviour when you're not in fullscreen mode?

I'm not sure if it's a bug or a feature request, but mouse wheel and fullscreen are two red flags when it comes to bugs. Especially the fullscreen mode continues to give us headaches.

Adding some configuration options for the mouse wheel should be possible otherwise.
My answers are not necessarily official YACReader statements but mostly represent my own opinion in technical matters.

Right, I didn't provide much info. Let's fix it:

1) OS is windows 7 64bit. I can test on linux (Debian or Ubuntu) if needed/asked to.

2) It happens both in fullscreen mode (double click) and in normal "windowed" mode.

3) Behaviour is that to advance 1 page (1 image) I need to turn the mouse wheel 2 steps, while using the keyboard arrow(s) it's just one click. Correct behaviour would be me rotating one step of the mouse wheel and the image changing. It happens both for forward and backward navigation.

Image viewers like XNView, Irfan, or Widows default one are consistent: one click or one step is one image. (an example to make you understand what I meant)

Oh, the mouse is a Logitech LS1, no driver "hellpers" (yeah, hell is not a typo).

Not a feature request I think, more like a consistency fix; I hope it's not much a headache for you.

I changed the default wheel behavior time ago because when you are scrolling pages you need some "resistance" for moving to another page, if you don't have this the scroll is hard to control. But you are probably right about the wheel behavior when you are seeing the whole page...

So... will the mouse wheel behaviour be made consistent?
Something like an option to set how much "resistance" is applied for example?
I can wait, np, and thanks for YAC ;)

We have some improvements for YACReaders UI planned for the future. Adding some more configurability for the mouse behaviour while we're at it should be possible.

Well, I really like the UI right now, if you improve it it'll be even better I suppose.
I am all for minimal, clean, and no clutter programs, and YAC needed only one option changed for me, quite the result I'd say; you made a great piece of SW.
I'll wait to see what you are cooking. ;).

Don't worry, most of the changes are going to be "under the hood".

I'm having this same issue. Windows 10, latest dev release.

My mouse has two settings - continuous scroll, and "click" scroll. In other apps (other comic readers, Adobe reader, image viewers, etc), one click of the wheel turns the page or moves to the next image.

But in YACReader, it takes two clicks of the wheel to move to the next page.

Can this be fixed?

Thanks!

Hi, is this "issue" being worked on?

I couldn't find any options to change mouse behaviour in YACReader 9.0.0, so I'm wondering it's it's still on your radar...
