Hi

I’ve recently downloaded YACReader and love the library setup! However, every single file in the library returns the error message ‘Comic not found’. The library hasn’t worked correctly at any point and if I open an individual comic from the reader directly, nothing happens.

Is anyone aware of what the issue might be?

Usually this means there is a problem with the file path or there were no images found, which usually happens when the comic book archive is in a plain archive.

Some questions:

Are you using YACReader 8.5.0 or 9.0.0 beta?
Are you actually seeing cover images in your library?
What format do your comics have? CB* or plain archives?

Hi Selmf,

I'm using 8.5.0 and I can see all the covers, since posting my original message the comics actually open if I choose the open option in the reader directly. This was after uninstalling and re-installing the program.

All my files are .cbz and .cbr.

Hi Selmf,

The reader now works if I open the file directly from the reader and not through the library. I'm using 8.5.0 and all my files are .cbz and .cbr.

That's a known bug that is caused by a timeout in YACReader due to YACReaderLibrary taking too long to supply the data needed.

Please try the current beta, the bug should be fixed in it. Download links can be found here:

I have fixed the link for 9.0.0 beta3 on Windows. Could you recheck that you have the latest version and, if the problem persists, try with a freshly created library? If there still are any problems launching YACReader from YACReaderLibrary Luis will want to get to the bottom of this problem.

Before you try to recereate the library, please, press U in your keyboard to update the library.

Where do you have your comics located? NAS, internal/external unit, shared folder on your network? What is the full path?

Hi,

Selmf - I've downloaded the file via the link in the post, i'm just updating the library and will let you know how it goes!

Luis - My files are located on a internal hardrive, the file path is G:\Action Comics. Not sure if it will make a difference but the drive is a partition.
