I sent in an email earlier, but that was before I remembered the forum was here for this sort of thing.

I have a few ideas that could make the app better:

A bookshelf view of our library's covers to supplement the current GUI. I will attach screens from my previous comic library app, Ehon (currently not being developed) as visual representation. Notice the mouse location and slider detail popup.
Ability to view all comics in a folder with subfolders. Currently you must drill down all the way to a subfolder to view any comics in your library. I will include some screens to help depict what I'm saying. Notice the mouse locations. The first two images show no comics because the deepest folder hasn't been selected.

Automatic metadata creation from filenames. i.e. title, issue number, volume, release date, ect.

Example: Amazing Spider-Man v2 700 (2012).cbr

Title: Amazing Spider-Man
Volume: 2
Issue: 700
Year: 2012
It's been mentioned before in other threads, but a tagging system would be of great benefit to those of us with large collections, and yes I have included a screen of Ehon's implementation of tagging as a idea sparker.

I hope that I don't ask for too much. I am very thankful for the YACReader we have today. It's the best at what it does in my opinion! Keep up the good work!

Plagnol Offline Fresh Boarder Posts: 1 Karma: 0	Somebody already asked but I insist : you should make yacreader possible for the epub file format. If you do that, it will become also a fantastic reader for books, generally. The great thing with yac is the possibility to read on a tablet at home without having to import the file.
