Third party comic reader was created by jakanapes
Is there a way to get more information on why this is failing?

I have yacreader library and simple comic on my mac while my library is an external drive. Both yacreader and simple comic have permissions to access the drive.

No matter what I try, all I see is the `Error opening comic with third party reader.` message.

I do see that the code for the command is
Code:
if (mutableCommand.contains("{comic_file_path}")) { fullCommand = mutableCommand.replace("{comic_file_path}", "\"" + path + "\""); } else { fullCommand = mutableCommand + " \"" + path + "\""; }

Is path the fill path including the file? If so, could the appended slash be causing an issue?

What did you exactly wrote in the settings?

Try to open Simple Comic from the terminal passing the path of a comic to see if it works.

My first attempt has been to use `open` with the comic path. In the terminal, it opens the app with the comic.

I was going to try wrapping it with a shell script and getting some logging, but wanted to see if there was anything built into the library I could check first

path is the full path of the comic

Whatever you put there is executed by adding quotes around the comic path as it was running from terminal

{comic_file_path} is replaced with "/folder1/folder2/comic.cbr" including the quotes. There is no appended slash, it is just escaping the quotes there.

I'll take a look to see if there is something wrong on how this behaves on macos.

Yeah, the problem is that I am using QProcess incorrectly, it can work in some particular cases but it won't work when more complex inputs are required.

There is a new dev build that should help with this: github.com/YACReader/yacreader-dev-build...s/tag/9.15.1.2501062
