External Keyboard Support

Just wondering if you could add support for keyboard navigation to the iPad version when reading a comic. I frequently use my iPad hooked up to a Brydge keyboard and moving down or back on a page would be an excellent addition.

I would suggest using command-space to move forward or command-shift-space for backward navigation.

What do you think?

It is already planned for future releases.

I think shortcuts should be editable, defaults will probably match the desktop version behaviour.

Is there any way yet to edit shortcuts on iPadOS, or even just see what they are?

No. I added some basic keyboard support while reading time ago, the supported keys are Left, Right, B, Space and Esc.

It appears that Space behaves differently on iPadOS and macOS. On Mac it's Autoscroll Down, which for most books takes me to the next page, regardless of reading direction (manga or regular). On iPad, it shows the page to the right, same as ->, so in left-to-right mode, it shows the next page, but in manga mode it shows the previous page. It would be great to have one key that goes to the next page, taking into account the reading direction.

Similarly, on iPad, B is <- and always opens the page to the left, regardless of reading direction. (It doesn't seem to do anything on macOS.)

I’ll take a look. On macos you can configure the shortcuts, got to the settings and look for a button that opens the shortcut dialog.
