cant connect my ipad to yac app on windows laptop

since the google drive functionality is dead, im trying to download files to my ipad via the yac library on desktop laptop running windows 11, and it doesnt connect. times out. what might be the issue?

Firewall, wrong connection data, server and app are not in the same network…

Try to give more information about your setup and what you are trying.

both ipad and laptop are on the same wifi. numbers matched as far as i can tell. i followed the in-app directions.

What about the firewall? Does the combo box with the IP in YACReadaerLibrary contain more than one IP? If so did you try all of them?

if theres a firewall i didnt install it on purpose and i dont know what thats about. where would it be? how would i even find something that isnt being explicit?

Windows 11 has a firewall by default. Just search for "firewall" in the start menu.

Everything was working fine on my ipad 2 ios 9.3.5 yacreader app fpr ios version 3.11.1.1 for 8 years. I used windows subsystem for android on my laptop and purchased the android app of Yacreader and used it. The android app is working fine. But now my ipad ios app is not working. It shows error "The data couldn't be read because its missing".

I havent made any changes of any sort and the android app works still on my windows PC and my android phone. Sadly even after uninstalling the ipad app and reinstalling it and going as far as to delete the Yacreader library on PC and deleting the metadata and creating a new library the ios app still shows the same error "The data couldn't be read because its missing".

Please help

Sorry to hear that, the latest version of YACReaderLibrary introduced some changes and old versions of the iOS app are having troubles with it. I try to keep compatibility with old versions and old operating systems as long as I can.

The problem here is that you need an updated version of the server for the Android app and that is going to make the iOS app stop working.

I really appreciate you being a long term user and all the support to the project.
