YacReader iOS (iPad specifically) doesn't like very long images in Webcomic archives. I
made a script
that recuts any CBZ archives you have into fixed aspect ratio images.
Ideally, we would have good support for very long image files, or some version of this logic could be used, right now it gets very pixelated if you load a long image.

Those comics normally come in multiple images and the app is able to glue them back together when using the right reading mode. There is a limitation in the max image size the app can handle, so super tall images will be problematic. If I find time to rewrite the rendering engine I’ll improve support for such files.

Good to know this is on your radar. Some of the websites, while they do cut their images into multiple files, they are still often too long for the app to render them in high quality.
I was able to fix is with this script, and since the app doesn't leave any gaps using the long strip mode it works fine. Just sharing with others until you have time to improve the rendering engine for these long files.
