I formatted several comics in CB7 and when I tried to update my YacReader Library, these issues were not picked up.

According to what I have seen in other forum discussions, this format should be recognizable by YacReader.

Is there something that needs to be adjusted?

9.5.0 for macos has been built for using unarr library, which does not support 7z yet.

9.6.0 will support 7z again + rar5 format. Hopefully I will be able to release it soon.

OK, Thank you.

While I am waiting for 9.6, is the CB7 format compatible with the current IOS application?

No, But you can download a previous version of YACReader, I don't remember if you need to use 9.0 or 8.5: bitbucket.org/luisangelsm/yacreader/downloads/

Just download it and use the YACReader.app in the package.

For those interested, the version with cb7 support is 8.5

Edit:

By the way, the support for cb7 is also coming to the Windows version?

If so, and if it's not too much ask, it can be included an option to associate the file type (cb7) to YACReader? This because for some reason Windows 10 sometimes won't associate the file type to the application just because...

Thanks in advance!

According to Luis, the 7zip backend will be shipped with OS X and Windows versions of YACReader 9.6. Linux versions (for which I am responsible) will continue to use unarr.

However, as 7zip for Unix is no longer maintained and contains known security flaws, we cannot guarantee that we will continue to ship this backend for OS X. If the risk becomes too large we will have to switch back to unarr.

This does not mean that 7z support will be dropped (limited 7z support is available in unarr git), but performance might be worse.
My answers are not necessarily official YACReader statements but mostly represent my own opinion in technical matters.

Thanks for the response.

I wasn't aware of the state of p7Zip and it make sense the approach that you've mentioned. I'll eagerly await for the new release.

Best regards.
