Add library from IP address or NAS folder

Hello

I was able to install YacReaderLibrary on my Mac, and was able to create a local library, use the QR code on my iPad and start reading. AWESOME.

Is there a way to create a library that reads over the network to a NAS directory, or directly from an IP address?

All my comics are stored on a Synology DS920+... would be great to have YAC read them over the network.

You have two options, you can mount a shared folder from your nas on your mac and use YACReaderLibrary. You can also install a Docker image in your NAS running YACReaderLibraryServer and this way you can have a 24/7 comic server, check the linux section in this forum.

Sorry for bumping an old topic, but can you connect the OSX App to a Docker instance? Or in this case, to a specific IP/port?

No, what you can do is mount a shared folder and use YACReaderLibrary on that folder.

but will that actually sync anything or will it just have a mount for comics? one of the benefits of the server is the sync.

It will be the exact same library, no sync is needed.
