Cover preview on scraper not working was created by SaunchoSmilax
Hi! First of all, thanks for the best comics library software out there.

Recently, when I scrape a comic, the cover preview no longer appears alongside the description. This happened in 9.15 and, having just updated it, persists in 9.16. It was such a handy feature!

MANY thanks, you are a godsend. PDF are very noticeably faster, BTW. :)

Should I do a clean install? I've been installing over older versions for fear of losing my precious metadata.

The installer in 9.16 already does a clean install. Data is preserved in the library folder and the settings are stored in the user profile, so nothing is lost when uninstalling the app.

Unfortunately, still not working! My version is 9.16.1.25120847 and I tried uninstalling and still nothing. Maybe something wrong here? Thanks again :)

I double checked it in windows and macos and it's working fine for me now for both volumes and comics.

Could it be something content specific?

EDIT: What build are you installing? YACReader-v9.16.1.25120847-winx64-7z-qt6.exe?

Apparently it's because comic vine changed their CDN from Fastly to CloudFlare and some requests are not trusted…they return html instead the image. You probably will be able to see some covers…

I don’t think there is much I can do, but I’ll keep an eye on this problem.

Thanks! For me, no covers at all, I've tested all around my collection. My install version is YACReader-v9.16.1.25120847-winx64-7z-qt6 indeed, but it stopped working back in 9.15, so it makes total sense that it is a Comic Vine thing. Ah well, these things happen. :)

somebody posted this workaround for mylar. Apparently they are trying to fix it on cv's side.
